Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye

DescriptionEdit

A girl named Aldra has the titular "Evil Eye" device that, when gazed into, encases victims in an amber-like crystal. The crystallization starts at the feet and travels upward around the body. Victims can move parts of their body that are not yet encased in crystal. A girl capable of turning herself into a liquid-state is able to escape the crystal once it is cracked.

ContextEdit

The second season of the Queen's Blade anime revolves around Aldra and her evil eye. She uses it to "petrify" victims and store them in a chamber her "Palace of Grief".

It's worth noting that the anime's version of "petrification" is actually encasing the victim in crystal. In the manga, Aldra's eye actually does turn people to stone.
